Shifting Left, Securing Right: How Bridge IT Helped a Cloud-Native Leader Embed Security into DevOps

Bridge IT Consulting recently teamed up with a multi-million-dollar cloud-native customer who had been struggling to implement shift-left security within their organization. The customer’s DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure teams were finding it difficult to adopt and implement this security strategy, which had been causing a lot of concern for their Security team. This is where Prisma Cloud’s Cloud Code Security (CCS) capabilities came into play.

The Bridge IT Consulting team was able to leverage CCS to provide the customer’s Security team with a seamless security solution that was ideal for their DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure engineers.

The CCS capabilities enabled developers to receive critical feedback right from their Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), during the Pull Request (PR) process and even at build-time. This real-time feedback was critical in reducing the number of security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations that even reached deployment, a feat that was previously impossible.

Thanks to the implementation of CCS, the customer can now boast of a more secure and efficient DevOps process. It’s heartwarming to see the customer embracing this new security strategy, which has gone a long way to boost their confidence in their cloud infrastructure.
